Komyo Reiki Kai

(Komyo ReikiDo)

Usui Reiki Ryoho was founded by Mikao  Usui (1865-1926) in Kyoto, Japan in the 1920's. Reiki Ryoho is a Japanese method that helps to improve the mind and body. Reiki, an alternative method of healing, helps to reduce stress which helps to increase relaxation and can have positive changes in all areas of your life.

Usui Sensei believed that by healing the mind, the body is able to heal it Self better. Usui Reiki Ryoho is intended to improve the mind and body. Komyo Reiki Kai follows this same belief with an emphasis on strengthening the Spirit, mind and body connection.

The Komyo Reiki Kai School was founded by Reverend Hyakuten Inamoto, a Japanese Buddhist monk of the Jodo-Shu, or Pure Land sect from Kyoto, Japan. Inamoto Sensei presents Reiki as it was understood and commonly practiced in the 1930’s in Japan. Komyo Reiki uses the same techniques that are used in traditional Japanese Reiki Ryoho. The Komyo Reiki Kai School was founded by Reverend Hyakuten Inamoto in 1998. In 2016, Komyo Reiki Kai was renamed Komyo ReikiDo simply means "the Way of Komyo Reiki".

Komyo ReikiDo is a spiritual awakening and a path to Satori or enlightenment. This includes a healthy and peaceful daily life. The more peace and balance that we cultivate in our lives through Reiki Ryoho practice, the more we directly experience what Mikao Usui Sensei called, "the secret method to invite happiness, and the miraculous" transformations that are associated with Reiki Ryoho practice. It is also the purpose of Reiki Ryoho to cultivate and uplift humanity and spirituality so as to attain the ultimate objective of Reiki Ryoho practice: SATORI (enlightenment) and ANSHIN RITSUMEI (inner peace).

Nancy’s Reiki Educational Experiences:

Nancy is a trained as a Komyo ReikiDo (formally Komyo Reiki Kai) Master/teacher and is the fifth generation of Usui sensei’s Japanese Reiki lineage. She taught by Jennifer Kimbley who, while residing in Japan, was taught by Reverend Hyakuten Inamoto Sensei.

In the summer of 2012, Nancy began a three-year journey studying Komyo Reiki Kai with Shihan Kimbley Sensei of Mountain Sky Reiki in Surrey, BC. While completing the Okuden (3rd level) class in the fall of 2013, Nancy was invited to become a teacher of Komyo Reiki. Almost two years later, Nancy had the great privilege of completing her teachers' training and became a Komyo ReikiDo (Kai) Shihan (or teacher). She believes it is a great honour and responsibility to have the opportunity to share her knowledge and this amazing practice with others.  She looks forward to having the chance to share this amazing learning experience with you.
